Aylee,
Looking forward to the next update. The auto updater is an awesome feature but it probably cut down on traffic in this thread. I just wanted you to know people are using your program and loving it!

As I promised: MappingOut 3.0.0
22 February 2007
Yes we have decided to release version 3, just after the release of version 2. For this version we have decided to go back to the beginning and add all the missing maps, collectors and green "unique" weapons, this should give everyone a complete picture of the 3 continents. We have added some new options to the collectors menu which should help you to work out which collector items you should be keeping, and which ones you should throw away. Anyways, onto the update:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAJOR UPDATES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- added missing maps for Tyria (Ascalon pre-searing, Ascalon post-searing, Northern Shiverpeaks, Kryta, Maguuma)
- added missing map for Cantha (Shing Jea Island)
- added 3 green weapons, located in Tyria's new maps: Totem Axe, Forgotten Fan and Rotwing Recurve Bow
- added "Charr Bag" green item, in Pre-searing Ascalon
- added all low level green items on Shing Jea Island
- added missing elite skils in Maguuma and Ascalon (during Titans' quests)
- added all missing collectors to Shing Jea Island (Cantha)
- added all missing collectors to Istan
- added all missing collectors to Ascalon (pre and post-searing), Southern shivepeaks, Kryta and Maguuma
- added a new filter in collectors schedule. Now you can choose if showing all collectors, low level or high level ones
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
MINOR UPDATES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
- fixed language for "Zone" text in main menu. Forgot to load the text from the language file
- changed the position of the links in the options menu
- fixed right click behaviour, when automatic rollover popup display is selected
- fixed an error in an object owned by Vabbi Trade Official 2
- added "Vizunah Square (Foreign Quarter)" to "Kaineng City" map

Oooooh. I know I've read that message, I just totally forgot about it since the last time I posted on here. My memory is really bad like that so my mistake. Good to see you're still putting work into it alongside all your real life priorities, we appreciate it. Wish there was a way we could thank you besides words they. lol hey, need any good equipment? You can always ask me and I'll hook you up for free. XD
Oh hey, before I forget I wanted to ask if you looked into one of my older requests about making us able to zoom out some on your maps to get a wider view of the area. Not sure if you're already able to do it since it's been a while since I was really active on GW (work, ugh) but if you already have it in there then just ignore this part. Thanks

Kaolla,
I haven't forgotten your suggestions . You may be wondering why I haven't done this yet... Well, there are 3 main reasons:
1) it's not so simple to add a zooming feature. So, it would take long and I'd like to finish some minor update, for first
2) I have to add a Multilanguage feature... Lots of users asked that loud! (since I'm italian, I couldn't deny an Italian Mapping longer ). Anyways, this multilanguage features will make me change also the "map style", because I have to translate also all outposts/towns name . So that I would like to have my mind clearer on this argument, in order to make any changes, such as the zooming...
3) I'd like to change all maps, adding 100% full explored maps, in order to allow people to achive the Catographer title. Changing maps dimension NEEDS absolutely a zooming funcion...
Concluding... I have to think about this zooming feature realyl deeply, otherwise I would commit some huge mistakes

Hey, I finally noticed you fixed an old bug I had mentioned (map window not decreasing in size if screen resolution is lowered), and another little thought popped into my head, to give you something to do. Well first I'm not sure if you have the menu window and the map window parts permanently stuck together, but being able to separate them and move them around as they are would be nice if it's not already there.
But what I really wanted to mention was docking, or snapping as some might call it. Where you reposition the window, make it be able to 'snap' to the edges of your computer screen to quick, efficient coverage.
As always, keep up the good work, buddy.

Hmm, I think I might be missing something here. MappingOut 3.0 came out? But I can't seem to find a link to download it. In the GuildWarsGuru download section it only has verison 1.8, which is quite outdated if 3.0 is out. Anyone got a download link for 3.0? I'd really like to have this program. By the way, from the sounds of this program, it has got to be the best thing ever for Guild Wars; wish I found this sooner.

Udoh wrote down two correct links... moreother, If my memory doesn't fail me, v1.8 is the first with the automatic update in it. So that, if you downloaded that, you could update your MappingOut to version 3.0, just clicking on the update button...
But, for sure, the direct link is pretty faster

Wasn't there some sort of little problem with one of the auto-updates? Either like it wouldn't work and you had to redownload the client a final time, or you had to choose that other server to download a particular update. I can't remember exactly which, my memory is shot.

I found a slight error. The collector Dei Waeng in Zin Ku Corridor has a Fire wand that comes up as a two-handed weapon.

Queen of the Sand,
thanks a lot. I'm glad my little "Mappy" has been so appreciated!
I add the "running routes" to my todos list. My warrior, Narya, was excited at that idea, so she can share her experience (she owns Aylee lots of money and she wishes she could delete her debt in that way!)
Anyways... It won't be an easy task, but I will think about it!
May the Light shine on you

Maybe something like where we can check off what towns our characters have or haven't unlocked already. With 8 characters I tend to forget pretty often on my lesser played toons which ones can go to, say, The Dragon's Lair, and which ones can't go.

For now... May the Light protect you!
